“There’s gold in them thar books!”: Mining History for Story My name is Marissa Doyle, and I’m a history junkie. It all started innocently enough, back when I was about eight. Our local PBS channel showed The Six Wives of … Continue reading
My Personal Experience
This year’s conference was probably the best for me. I didn’t have any pitches scheduled, and I highlighted a few career workshops I thought would be interesting. I also met many writer friends I know I’ll journey with for many … Continue reading
Goddesses in Dallas
There were Goddesses in Dallas last week, including my blogging partners and CPs. Everyone’s blog I’ve read has said that the best part of the conference was hanging out with other writers, and they’re right. I laughed until I cried … Continue reading
Impressions of the RWA National Conference 2007

The week ahead

Messages from the Big D
Blogging from National Michelle: As the only first time conference attender in the group, I had certain preconceptions about National, and I have to say, it has been much better than I thought. There is a friendliness and a mutual … Continue reading
Lost Memories
There’s an amnesia drug being tested in a very controlled atmosphere now. I caught the story on a news program. To say it sounds borderline science fiction is putting it mildly. If proven, its purpose is to erase painful memories. … Continue reading
