Top Ten Soundtracks for Paranormal Writing Michelle, thanks so much for inviting me to your wonderful blog! Hope everyone enjoys my blathering on one of my favorite topics. Music is my high-octane creative fuel. I came up with the idea … Continue reading
It’s Getting Crowded In Here
I noticed recently it’s getting a little crowded in my imagination lobby. Story ideas have spilled into the hallways. I snatch my label gun. It’s time to organize with an attitude. “Okay,” I call out, grabbing a microphone. “All possible … Continue reading
The blues
My husband and I were at a wine and harvest festival on Sunday. The weather was terrific, cool enough to wear jeans but warm enough for my “Good Girl Gone Bad” T-shirt. We ran into my step-niece and chatted for … Continue reading
Worldbuilding
I just read a science fiction novel which has some interesting worldbuilding. People wore glasses, but could inject a chemical translator into themselves that lodged in their brain and translated everything they said in their own language to the language … Continue reading
ESP
As I write this, I’m about twelve hours away from heading out the door. The hotel I’m staying at does have DSL, and I’m bringing my laptop, so if I can actually figure out how to hook the darn thing … Continue reading
Slashers

We have Jeri Smith-Ready as our guest blogger next Saturday. Jeri’s books are just up my street, and I’m so pleased to have her as a guest blogger here at MM. Jeri has been writing fiction since the night she … Continue reading
Guest Blogger: Elizabeth Hoyt
Elizabeth Hoyt Has A Deep Thought So, the other day my critique partner, Jade Lee, and I had a Deep Discussion. This was something of an anomaly, as most of our discussions fall into three categories: 1) Idiot Husband Stories. … Continue reading
Book Titles
I discovered something recently that I hadn’t thought about till now. Maybe it’s because I’m dabbling in a new story idea, and experienced a few false starts. Fact is, if I don’t have a title, things don’t go as smoothly … Continue reading
Linky dinky do
On Kate Sterling’s Saturday blog, she directed us to an awesome website for writers. Although Writers Store is a website for screenwriters, the articles and interviews are great for fiction writers too. I’ve recently discovered Erica Orloff’s blog. Like Erica’s … Continue reading
