Mary Jo, I love your term “Ellatude”. Too cute! Eighteen months is the perfect age too; I really enjoyed those years of dimples and chubby cheeks. Talking about it gives me baby fever… hmmm, wonder if my girls are finished!

Loved your post today. Children are such precious gifts in our lives.

I have the honor of watching my 18 month old great niece every few weeks and love watching what she does and how she develops so much from one time to the next. She takes such delight in learning about things we take for granted. And she’s already developed what we refer to as an “Ellatude” which becomes very obvious when she can’t figure out something herself or she’s not getting something she wants. She will definitely not be a young woman with confidence.

Too funny Edie! I had to smile, cause I know exactly what you mean. I ride Plasma cars with the kids, and riding on the back of Bella’s is a rush. She’s fast and fearless.

My grandson is a daredevil. He reminds me of myself when I was young. Physically, I would do anything. Even now, I sometimes feel like I can. Which is why I was limping last weekend.

My little angel is one of the biggest things that keep me going. Sure she manages to get on my nerves ‘pon occasion, but that’s natural. I’m sure I get on her’s.

But I can see big things for her and will be at her side every step of the way.
