We have our winners!
Congratulations to Nicole for the international copy and Lynda for the US copy – courtesy of random.org. I’ll be in touch for your addresses so I can arrange to have them sent out.
It is just less than a week to go before my historical novel The Emperor’s Conspiracy is released. I started writing this book before In A Treacherous Court and Keeper of the King’s Secrets, and then left it after three chapters because I realized the tone would need to be darker and grittier to do the story justice, and I needed to get my head around that.
For five years I thought about this book, building the characters in my mind and living in their heads and their world. It was all the harder to write it because of that fact, because I had such a strong sense of how it should come out on the page and I was ruthless with myself to achieve it. I really am so excited that the book is soon going to be out there, and thrilled with the great reviews I’ve been getting.
Just like The Emperor’s Conspiracy started out as one thing for me, and morphed into something completely different, what book or movie or experience have you seen lately that you went into expecting one thing, and you got something totally different?
I’ve got a copy of The Emperor’s Conspiracy to give away to commenter living in the US, and another one to a commenter living elsewhere, to be drawn on November 27th, the day the book comes out. When you comment, please let me know if you’re international or US, so I can split up the list accordingly.
