1 Year, 11 Authors, 42 Books, 3 Giveaways

Congratulations to Barbara Elness, the winner of 3 books! Yay, Barbara!!!

My 4th Miracle Interrupted book, MIRACLE PIE, was published last week. I’m always thrilled to get a new book out, but squeaking this in before the end of the year was great because I made my 2012 goal of publishing 4 books. 🙂 I’m not the only goal achiever. Miracle Pie 246x360Katie Guthrie has pie magic. Intuition tells her what to bake. Whether it’s a Goodbye Pie or a Welcome Home Pie, it will turn out perfect and be waiting for the person who needs it most.

She cherishes her life in the small village of Miracle, Wisconsin, and has no desire for change. But to help a friend, she agrees to film a cooking pilot show. Only to realize the filmmaker is the dying boy Katie used to call her angel when she lived in Chicago with her junkie mother.

Gabe Robbins is no angel, and he’s no boy anymore. Burned out after a three-year stint building a hospital in Africa, Gabe ignores his demons by living day-to-day and filming wedding videos. Nothing deep, nothing he has to become invested in. Nothing that will get under his skin, until…

Watching Katie create her pies from behind his video camera makes him realize what he’s missing. Thanks to Katie and her pies, Gabe discovers his passion again. But will it lead him to his heart’s desire…or will this miracle take him away from Katie forever?

You can read an excerpt here.

What did you accomplish in 2012?

I ..well…oh oh, I bought a flat with bf 😀 That is something, in debt for year, but still yay
blodeuedd`s last blog was …Review: The Girl who chased the Moon – Sarah Addison Allen

  2. Amy Atwell says:

Thanks for compiling this, Edie. Wow–so many books and so many wonderful reads. My big accomplishment for the year was building a habit of distance walking/running. I now workout 5 miles every other day without even thinking about it!
Amy Atwell`s last blog was …Villains We Love To Hate

    • Edie Ramer says:

Amy, that’s a great accomplishment! Walking more is on my list – though not 5 miles. And I’ll wait for it to get above freezing outside. What I’ve already started to do is to eat healthier. I’m excited about it.

  3. Amy R says:

That is a lot of books! Congrats to all of you this year! I have read many of those and have several more waiting for me on my Nook to read. My goal for 2013 is to read at least one, if not more books from every lady here at Magical Musings! You guys all have such different personalities, I look forward to seeing that in the books that you have written. Happy New Year to all of you and thanks for making my 2012 fun this year with all your blog posts!

  4. Edie,

In 2012, I got 5 books into print (one of those traditionally) and they are all available digitally though 2 of them were available digitally in late fall 2011. I also published digitally one novella and have the second in the series ready to publish at the end of January 2013.
Casey Clifford`s last blog was …Kick The Old Year Out

  5. Kristina O. says:

What a list! While I’ve heard of a few of the authors I am sad to say that I haven’t read a single one of the books on this list. I plan on fixing that by adding them to my own book list 🙂

  6. Edie,
You’re wonderful for compiling this list…and I am truly awed by how prolific my blog sisters have been this year!! I finished writing a long, involving novel this year, but it’s still being read and critiqued — close, but not quite ready for publishing yet. I was definitely excited to have completed it, though :).
    Happy New Year!!
Marilyn Brant`s last blog was …Merry Christmas!!

  7. Great excerpt, Edie, and a great lineup of books. My biggest goal for 2013 is to lose weight. I know–boring!! I really am going to do it this year.

And and write with more discipline.

    • Edie Ramer says:

Liz, thank you! I think you and I have the same goals for 2013. I’m actually eating more nutritionally. I already started, but I’ll be stricter starting tomorrow. Or Wed. lol Lots of vegies and fruits.

  8. Dale Mayer says:

    Hi Edie,

We done good! What an impressive list for all of us. Congrats ladies. I can’t decide if I’m happier about my productivity or about my weight loss. They both make me smile 🙂
Dale Mayer`s last blog was …Head banging here!

    • Edie Ramer says:

Dale, you did very good in 2012. Congrats on your awesome and amazing year!!!

I hope I do as well with my weight, my health and my writing next year.

  9. Janet Kerr says:

    Happy New Year everyone!
Thank you for putting this together Edie. It really is hard to decide which one to read first!

  10. Chelsea B. says:

2012 was a … not-so good year for me. I’m hoping for the best for 2013! 🙂 Here’s to a new year, everyone– and a great one, at that! 🙂

  11. Edie Ramer says:

Chelsea, I’m sending good wishes for 2013. I hope you can find your own miracles!

  12. Hey, Edie!
I edited a lot of words and pages for other writers and nabbed the promise of a book contract.

    You ladies here are prolific!

  13. JanieC says:

Happy New Year, Edie. I’ve managed to lose a few pounds, but hopefully I’ll be able to keep it off.

  14. Cynthia Eden says:

I love the cover of Miracle Pie! I’ve got to add that to my Kindle right away!

    • Barbara Elness says:

I forgot to say what I accomplished this year. I managed to stick to my weight loss and exercise program and after losing 56 lbs, am within a few pounds of my goal.

      • Edie Ramer says:

Barbara, I’m so proud of you!!! One of my goals for 2013 is to eat healthier, and I’ve already started. 56 lbs is amazing!

And thank you! Though it’s hard to write about pies and think about eating healthy. lol

  16. Timitra says:

Great list of books-thanks for chance to win some of them! I accomplished my academic goal of maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

  17. Wow, you ladies have been busy. What an amazing list!

I’m right on track with my New Year’s resolution. I’d tell you what it is, but it’s a secret. A secret project, that is. 😀
