When You Least Expect It

Hello Magical Musing readers! I’m Robin and it’s really great to meet you! I’m super excited to be joining the awesome gals here as a regular contributor.

I have to tell you, being asked to join MM was one of the nicest things to happen to me as a writer. And what made it even more special? It was so unexpected! The kindness extended to me put a huge smile on my face that I’m pretty sure I’m still wearing. 😀

Some of the very best things to happen to me have occurred by chance actually. Okay, the best, really… 1) I met my husband quite by accident through a friend that was dating him. Turned out he wasn’t the guy for her and she was happy to play matchmaker. I was sixteen. He was seventeen. And we’ve been married for twenty-four years now. 2) I started writing romance novels after a co-worker who had read my freelance writing on brides and weddings said to me, “Have you ever written a romance novel? Because if not, then you should.” Those two sentences are what led me to be here today. And 3) When my hubby and I wanted to have a second child and it just wasn’t happening, we realized how very grateful we were for one son and stopped trying. (Not practicing, mind you, but trying.) *wink* The next month while on vacation in Toronto I learned I was pregnant!

I know I’m not the only one to have things happen I didn’t see coming, and I’d venture to say all you guys have fallen into a happy accident at least once, right? I’d love to hear about one. But before I go, besides celebrating my first blog post here on MM, I’m celebrating a new book release. (This is a super happy week!) HER ACCIDENTAL BOYFRIEND came out yesterday! Squee! I had the best time writing this book and have a huge crush on my hero, Shane. Something he least expects happens to him too…

TABFaking it with this flirt never felt so real…

Kagan Owens has a secret. One she thought she’d escaped by leaving New York, but when her past follows her to her temporary new life, Kagan lets a teeny lie slip. And now the town’s biggest playboy and flirt, Shane Sullivan, has become her pretend boyfriend–just until she’s ready to return to NYC. But the handsome, fun-loving Shane makes it tough to determine where their friendly agreement begins and ends…

Shane has no intention of settling down–in fact, his job depends on it, and nothing’s more important than his work. Still, he can’t help but agree to Kagan’s scheme, if only to find out more about the mysterious beauty. But when every touch from her sets his heart and body on fire, he realizes playing an accidental boyfriend may be more than he bargained for–and more than he can give.
