Trick or Treat? (With Giveaway!)

Update: The gift card winner is Kristine R! Congrats, Kristine!

Tomorrow is Halloween, and I’ll confess, that is one of my absolute favorite days of the year. I love the spookiness, I love the costumes, and, of course, I love the candy.ย  I always attack my son’s candy bag at the end of the night. Wait, did I say attack? I mean that I assist him–I help him get rid of those pesky pieces of candy that he doesn’t want.ย ๐Ÿ˜‰

Then, after my little guy has finally settled down for the night, I curl up on the couch and watch a scary movie. It’s Halloween–there HAS to be scary movie watching involved.ย  I need something to make me jump right before midnight comes calling.

But I also like it when scary movies make me laugh. To me, that perfect combination of scare and fun is both a trick AND a treat.ย  Movies that have my heart racing, and then make me smile? Awesome!

CURSED is one of those movies that gives me that great scare/fun combo rush.

I’m a big fan of werewolf movies, and CURSED always leaves me grinning.ย  (And trying to catch my breath.)

Another flick that falls into my fun/scary category? Well, that would be TUCKER AND DALE vs. EVIL. I’ve been talking about this one recently on Twitter and Facebook. I watched TUCKER AND DALE vs. EVIL over the weekend, and I thought it was hilarious. I’d definitely recommend it!

What about you? Do you have any scary/funny Halloween movies to recommend? One commenter will be randomly selected to win a $10 gift card.

Happy Halloween!!!

Um, that would be no, Cynthia. I do not watch any scary movies. They freak me out! I will read scary books (like yours) because I can turn the book or my Nook over (or off) and stop it anytime I want. I know I can do that with a TV, too, but in a book it is my imagination and on a screen I can’t control the images….so, nope. No recommendations. I will, however, watch all the comedy sitcoms with Halloween-themes…including all the Disney and Nick shows with my kids. I can handle the ghosts and goblins in those. Happy Halloween!
