Winterfest…is coming & the ALL I EVER WANTED cover reveal!

All I Ever Wanted - new adult romanceYippee!! It’s the “cover reveal” day for my new-adult romance anthology, scheduled to be released next month!

This was, I’ll admit, a pretty unusual project for me. For this collection, I had the chance to join forces with three wonderful authors. Together, we created four interconnected novellas that all take place during the course of one January weekend in the fictional small town of Abbott Springs, Ohio.

We’ve been at work on it for months, and I’m so excited to finally get to share the front cover and the back-cover blurb with everyone :).

ALL I EVER WANTED
by Caisey Quinn, Rhonda Helms, Lexi Ryan & Marilyn Brant

Pub date: January 13th, 2014
Genre: Contemporary New Adult Romance

Winterfest is heating up in Abbott Springs…

As the town’s yearly festival kicks off, cold days turn into steamy nights, new flames will be ignited, and old romances will be rekindled.

All About Us
by Marilyn Brant—All Sami Abbott ever wanted was permission to be herself. At home, she aims to be the perfect daughter but never measures up. At college, she’s the bold girl who had a one-night stand with sexy musician, Alex Hamilton. When he arrives unexpectedly in Abbott Springs, her worlds collide and she must reconcile the girl she tries to be with the person she really is.

All I Need
by Caisey Quinn–All pink-haired rocker chick Everly Abbott thought she wanted was acceptance in her straight-laced hometown. But her best friend and bandmate Justin Cohen is about to show her that what she thinks she wants isn’t necessarily what she needs.

All for Love by Rhonda Helms–All Maya Monterey ever wanted was to belong. Happiest with the Abbott family, Maya’s been secretly in love with sexy pastry chef Oliver Abbott for years. With a flirty new look, she’ll pull out all the stops to get him to notice her. And if her plan fails, she’ll walk away from the only home she’s ever known–and Oliver–for good.

All or
Nothing by Lexi Ryan—After years of placing the wrong bets, all Aubree Baxter wanted was someone to take a chance on her. Golden boy Kennedy Hale plays it safe in life and love, but to keep Bree in Abbott Springs, he’ll have to go all in.

In writing the anthology, we came up with a yearly mid-January festival (in the vein of one of “The Gilmore Girls” or “The Vampire Diaries” small-town events) and we named it “Winterfest.” We’ve since discovered that there are some real Winterfest/Winter Fest celebrations that take place around the country, and it made me wonder if you all knew of any fun small-town festivals that you’ve attended in the past or, perhaps, still go to every year, regardless of season… I’d love to hear about them ;).

Better yet, if you could make up your own annual celebration, which activities would you be most likely to include? Are there any special foods you’d want to make sure you had on hand? And when would you host it?!

Marilyn, I love the cover! And these are definitely my kind of stories.

It would be fun to have a celebration of books. Everyone could bring a favorite book and tell the others why they’re so passionate about it. They could read a passage from the book. The food could be chocolate.

  5. Happy Cover Reveal Day, Marilyn! It’s gorgeous, and I can’t wait to read the book! We love going to watch the Holiday Parade of Lights that takes place in the harbor not far from us. Boats go all out with decorations and it’s so much fun to watch. Holiday music pours out of speakers and there’s lots of people. Fireworks end the evening. Oh, and I always enjoy a hot chocolate while we’re watching. :)

    Robin,
Thank you so much, my friend!! I really appreciated that you were part of the reveal, too ;). And I just love the sound of your holiday event at the harbors — how lovely that must be at night!! We went to something in Chicago called “Venetian Night” once that involved boats with lights at night on Lake Michigan, and it was very cool…but there was no holiday music or hot chocolate, and I would’ve liked that!
