Let’s be a little foolish on this April 1st, shall we? I love that today we get to pull good-humored pranks on each other and it’s okay. The bummer is I’m not so great at coming up with them. And on top of that, my hubby and kids are impossible to fool! Me? I’m totally gullible. I swear my family gets me on something practically every week.
I came across two pranks, though, that I think I might be able to pull off sometime. They look completely doable and fun. The first one is making a sign to put on the back of my hubby’s car just like this one in the picture. (Well, not exactly like this picture since my hubby’s name isn’t Jason.)
I think this is a brilliant idea. The only problem I see is getting my hubby in his car without him seeing it since he doesn’t always park on the driveway. Hmm…
The second prank is this yummy grilled cheese sandwich. Only it’s not really as it seems! hee hee
What you need to make this:
1 cup buttercream or white frosting
Yellow and red food coloring
(I think you guys know what a big sweet tooth I have, so yeah, I’d definitely like to try this!)
Okay, cut the pound cake into bread-like slices and toast them just until they turn golden brown. Let them cool for a few minutes and then stack two slices for each sandwich and cut in half diagonally.
Tint the frosting by stirring a few drops of yellow and red food coloring (more yellow than red) to get a shade of orange that resembles cheese.
Carefully spread the frosting between the slices of each half sandwich. If you heap the frosting on one slice, then top it with the other and gently press down, the frosting will ooze out the sides and look all the more like melted cheese.
So tell me, do you have any fun/funny things up your sleeve today?
Real quick before I go, I wanted to share the cover for my next Secret Wishes book, WILD ABOUT HER WINGMAN. I’m super in love with it. And I get to celebrate it’s release on April 14th along with Dale and the release of Book Six in her Psychic Vision series, RARE FIND. So excited!
Have a very happy April Fools’ Day!
