I’m a wish-maker. On birthday candles, dandelions, stars, and sometimes I’ll just close my eyes and make a wish because I need to. And sometimes I don’t consciously make wishes, but deep down I’m hoping for something. Well, these past several weeks have far exceeded my expectations and all the goodness is just crazy pants!
My stars have definitely aligned lately and I want to say a big giant thank you to everyone who has been a part of my writing success. Most especially, though, today I want to thank my readers. Because holy cow, I’m now a USA Today Bestselling Author. Squee!!
I’m so deliriously happy and so very grateful to each and every person who has helped me get here. When I first started writing, I honestly thought if I never got published, that would okay. Because I was doing something I loved. Just getting to spend time with my characters always filled me joy and accomplishment. With a family and a day job, writing was my little escape. But when I finished writing that first book, and then a second, I realized I wanted more. I wished for more. So I worked harder at it and tried to learn as much as I could. And then it happened. I got the call—or rather email—and my writing world was forever changed. Now two years later, there aren’t enough words to express my thanks and appreciation for all the good news I’ve received.
So I’ll just say this… Whatever your passion is, never give up. Never stop dreaming. Never stop wishing and hoping. And I hope one day your stars align, too.
In celebration of my good news, I’m giving away a swag pack filled with something from all my books and maybe a little something extra for the book lover in all of us, to one commenter on this blog post. One random name will be drawn and I’ll post the winner’s name in the comments this Friday. Thanks again for sharing this journey with me!
