Adrienne Giordano and I are celebrating the release of Cheating Justice, the second book in our Justice Team Series. We had such a hoot writing the two main characters, Mitch and Caroline, we wanted a fun way to introduce them to you. Adrienne came up with an idea…why not ask them Dating Game questions and see how Mitch and Caroline respond?
I wrote Mitch’s character – a former FBI agent on the run for murder – and honestly, there’s no telling what he might say, so stand by as I interview him. And if you want to read Caroline’s responses, hop over to Just Romantic Suspense.
Misty Evans: So, Mitch, thanks for joining me today on Magical Musings. Ready for your first question?
Mitch Monroe: I’m only doing this because Caroline is forcing me too. She threatened my life if I said no.
ME: I like Caroline. She’s the only person who can keep you in line.
MM: She’s got me wrapped around her—ahem—trigger finger.
ME: First question: if you had to describe yourself as an animal, what kind of animal would you be?
MM: That’s easy. I’m a wolf…swift, lethal, a bit of a pack animal.
ME: What kind of animal would you say Caroline is?
MM: She’d be a wild horse because she’s smart and fast and has that long hair that drives me nuts. She’s also stubborn as hell.
ME: What would you describe as a “perfect date”?
MM: Sex, sex, and more sex (with Caroline of course), a side of beer and a Knick’s game.
ME: What would be Caroline’s perfect date?
MM: Caroline’s perfect date would be shooting my likeness at the gun range.
ME: Mitch, if you had to give yourself a nickname, what nickname would you choose?
MM: I would never give himself a nickname – uncool. Man Code states your peers must bestow a nickname on you after you’ve earned it.
ME: What nickname would Caroline pick?
MM: I don’t know what she’d pick, but secretly, I call her Miss Type A. She’s totally neurotic when she gets on a case. Turns me on every time.
ME: What song best describes your life, and why?
MM: TNT by AC/DC. Self-explanatory.
ME: What song best describes Caroline, and why?
MM: Caroline’s song is How Do I Stop Loving You by Barry Manilow. Again, self-explanatory. She’s got it bad for me and hates herself for it.
ME: Mitch, what is your best pick-up line?
MM: Since I only want to pick up Caroline, all I’d have to say is, “What to see my gun, Special Agent?”
ME: Tacky, but I suppose that would work. What would Caroline’s best pickup line be?
MM: A threat: “I’m going to make you pay…all night long!” No really. She doesn’t need a pickup line with me. All she has to do is look at me with her big, brown eyes and I’m toast.
ME: Seems like a good place to wrap this up. Thank you Mitch for answering my questions, and readers, if you’d like to more about Mitch and Caroline, here’s the blurb of Cheating Justice. And today I’m giving away of the first book in the Justice Team Series, STEALING JUSTICE, to one lucky commenter who answers this question:
Why do you read romantic suspense? Is it for the adrenaline rush? The action? The military/FBI/CIA characters? Or the HEA?
For fans of Scandal and Justified!! The second novel in the exciting and bestselling Justice Team romantic suspense series!!
While investigating a government cover-up, former FBI agent Mitch Monroe is framed for murder. A wanted man, Mitch has no choice but to stay off the grid, and he needs Special Agent Caroline Foster—the FBI’s top sniper and a woman who wants nothing to do with him—to clear his name.
After sharing a single night of simmering passion with Mitch a year ago, Caroline hasn’t been able to get him out of her head. Or her heart. He’s already jeopardized her job once…helping him now could end her career. But a friend has been murdered, and no matter how Caroline feels about Mitch, he’s not the killer. She needs answers, and she needs Mitch Monroe out of her life once and for all.
On the run and with no one to turn to, Mitch and Caroline can’t fight the reigniting passion between them. She’ll lose her career if she proves Mitch is innocent…he’ll lose his life if she doesn’t.
