Scars is now available!

Hi everyone,

Writing contemporary romance is a relatively new genre for me however everything I write has romance in it. My favorite genre is romantic suspense. Then several months ago I came up with a way to marry my love of personal healing with romance. From that the Broken but… Mending series was born. Book 1 is called Skin and is a unique look at broken people who want to bring change into their lives.

I’m delighted to say that Scars, book 2 of Broken but…Mending series is now available. 🙂

Some scars are hidden…

The worst scars are buried deep inside…

Robin and Sean are existing in their private worlds. Hiding in plain sight, not really living, definitely not thriving. They both need to move forward… if they can.

Yet the price of success is pain as they confront issues that have plagued them for years. They’re so different, with such opposite problems. Yet they complement each other – or at least they will, if they can work through their issues and find each other.

This is a story of pain and sorrow, joy and success… and… love.

About Dale Mayer

Dale Mayer writes romantic suspense, with or without paranormal elements like TUESDAY'S CHILD (2011) and now young adult books in various genres like DANGEROUS DESIGNS (2011). Writing stabilizes her in a life gone wild! The other stabilizers? Cheesecake and her four cats! Of course, she's dreaming to think she'll get a piece cheesecake once her four kids find out she's been baking!

Congratulations, Dale, on the release of Scars! The journey of healing is one of the best. I enjoy many genres, mystery, science fiction, fantasy, but they’re all better with a good romance 🙂

      Hi Mary,

I agree on the genres being better with a little romance. 🙂 I find I go in stages where I inhale RS, then switch to fantasy, then go over to mysteries for awhile. The one genre I haven’t been able to read in decades is Westerns!

  3. Congrats on the new book, Dale!

As for genres I won’t read, I would have to say literary fiction. Got enough of that in college. LOL.

    Hi Jennifer!

Ugh on Literary – I’m the same! I have kids reading it in school now and they often make me laugh with their reaction to much of the work. lol.

  6. Huge congrats on the new release, Dale. I don’t read horror, although Dean Koontz is often classified as horror and I do read his books, but I’m not into the slasher / scary paranormal stuff. Too much imagination for me to sleep well after reading that stuff 🙂
