Marilyn Brant has been a classroom teacher, a library staff member, a freelance writer and a national book reviewer. She lives in the Chicago suburbs with her husband and son, surrounded by towers of books that often threaten to topple over and crush her. A proud member of the Jane Austen Society of North America, Marilyn’s debut novel, According to Jane (Kensington, 2009), won the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Golden Heart® Award, Single Titles Reviewers’ Choice Award, Aspen Gold Reader’s Choice Award and Booksellers’ Best Award. Her second novel, Friday Mornings at Nine (Kensington, 2010) was a Doubleday Book Club and Book-of-the-Month Featured Alternate Selection. Her third book, A Summer in Europe, was released by Kensington in December 2011, and was a Top 20 Rhapsody Book Club bestseller in “Fiction & Literature,” as well as a Literary Guild and BOMC2 Featured Alternate Selection.
She’s also a #1 Kindle bestseller and writes light romantic comedies that are available on ebook. Her first, On Any Given Sundae, was released in June 2011 and became a Top 100 “Bestseller in Humor” on Amazon, and her second, Double Dipping, came out in September 2011 and was a finalist for “Best Contemporary Novel” in the 2012 International Digital Awards. When not writing, Marilyn enjoys traveling, listening to music and finding new desserts to taste test.
